The leader of the "A Just Russia – For Truth" party, Sergey Mironov, appealed to Russia’s Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov with a request to initiate an investigation into the procedure for granting housing subsidies and certificates to migrants.
Sergey Mironov expressed concern that the situation is becoming systemic in several regions and that the housing distribution process lacks transparency. He emphasized that the lists of recipients of state housing certificates are not available to the public, which, in his view, could lead to abuse, corruption, and social tension.
In this regard, the parliamentarian is requesting a review of the actions of officials responsible for allocating housing and, if necessary, the implementation of measures to restore justice and protect the interests of Russian citizens.
Amid the discussion of this issue, LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky earlier proposed restricting access to housing certificates for new Russian citizens, allowing them only to those who have lived in the country for at least 10 years after receiving their passport.
