Russian authorities intend to extend the duration of stay for foreign citizens with an electronic visa to 30 days, announced Alexey Klimov, Director of the Consular Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to Alexey Klimov, the main goal of the changes is to attract foreign tourists, business partners, and humanitarian visitors. At the same time, the diplomat assured that the level of migration control and national security measures will remain high.
It is worth noting that in early December, Russia expanded the list of countries whose citizens can apply for a unified electronic visa, bringing the total to 64 countries.
