The Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied information about a possible ban on issuing and replacing documents abroad, calling it inconsistent with reality. This information was initially spread by the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta," citing a draft order.
The department emphasized that the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, its diplomatic missions, and consular offices always adhere to a policy of openness in information, striving to inform citizens in advance and in detail about planned changes in legislation and consular practices. The ministry also noted that draft regulatory acts, including internal orders, are published on a specialized website.
Recall that earlier, a representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, stated that the department was considering the issue of mandatory consular registration for Russians. According to information from RBK, this initiative was included in the plan for the concept of migration policy for 2024-2025.
