The Russian government announced the creation of an online service for business registration

The Russian government has developed the "Start Business Online" service, which integrates the processes of business registration, obtaining an electronic signature from the Federal Tax Service of Russia (FNS) without the need to visit a certification center, and opening a bank account.

"The service will allow entrepreneurs, including beginners, to quickly and conveniently start their business. Thanks to the use of biometrics, all necessary procedures can be carried out remotely. This is a new level of comfort in obtaining commercial and government services, where a citizen can address the issue comprehensively in just a few clicks," said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko.

The service will be implemented as part of an experiment starting from March 1, 2024, and will last until March 1, 2025. The experiment will be conducted with the participation of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Central Bank of Russia, Rosfinmonitoring, and JSC "Center for Biometric Technologies" (operator of the unified biometric system). The FNS of Russia acts as a coordinator: the department will monitor the results of the experiment and submit a report to the Russian government with proposals for the further development of the service.
