The Central Bank of Russia has extended restrictions on international money transfers for 6 months. They will be in effect from April 1st to September 30th, 2024.
Limits on transfers via money transfer systems remain in place - no more than 10,000 US dollars or the equivalent in another foreign currency per month. Transfer amounts are determined based on the official exchange rate of foreign currencies to the ruble at the time of the transaction.
Non-resident individuals working in Russia have the right to transfer their earnings abroad. This applies to representatives of both friendly and unfriendly countries.
The ban on international money transfers remains in effect for non-resident individuals not working in Russia from unfriendly countries, as well as for legal entities from these states. An exception is made for foreign companies controlled by Russian legal or natural persons.
Banks from unfriendly countries can transfer money in rubles through correspondent accounts opened in Russian credit organizations, provided that the sender's and recipient's accounts are opened in foreign banks.
