MID RF Rasskazal O Vezde V Rossiyu Posle Otmeny Ogranichenij Iz Za COVID 19

"Despite the de facto waiver of pandemic measures, one requirement for foreigners remains"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation spoke about the entry into Russia after the lifting of restrictions due to COVID-19. From July 15, the procedure for entering Russia will almost completely become the same as it was before the coronavirus pandemic. Restrictions on movement across the border due to the coronavirus pandemic have been in force in Russia since March 2020.

Foreign citizens will be able to enter Russia without restrictions on categories, reasons for entry and checkpoints they plan to use. A passport and a visa are required for entry, unless a visa-free regime has been established with the country from which the person is entering.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that one requirement introduced due to the pandemic remains. Foreigners entering Russia will have to present a negative PCR test for coronavirus. This rule does not apply to citizens of Belarus who enter Russia by plane.
