"The new rules came into effect on June 14"

Russia has lifted all epidemiological entry restrictions for foreigners arriving in the country by air and sea. This was reported in the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus infection.

“A decision has been made to lift from June 14, 2022, epidemiological restrictions on the entry into Russia of foreign citizens arriving by air, as well as through sea checkpoints,” the operational headquarters said. The restrictions were introduced by orders of the Government of the Russian Federation in March 2020, they will be amended accordingly.

In addition, a decision was made to resume railway communication on the routes Tashkent-Samara and Tashkent-Volgograd from June 14 with a frequency of once a week on each route.

Earlier, Russia began to gradually remove COVID restrictions on the entry of foreign citizens into the country. In March, restrictions on the movement of citizens between Russia and Belarus and Russia and Kazakhstan were mutually lifted. Restrictions on the entry of persons from the territory of the DPR, LPR and Ukraine were also lifted.

It should be noted that 2,996 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Russia over the past day.
