The exam in Russian as a foreign language, Russian history and the basics of Russian legislation for foreign citizens who plan to live and work in Russia will be held from August 1 according to the new rules.
"In accordance with the new rules, the exam will be conducted using control measuring materials (CMM) of a standardized form, developed on the basis of the requirements approved by the Government of the Russian Federation for the minimum level of knowledge required to obtain a temporary residence permit, residence permit, work permit or patent" , - the message says.
The exam is held for foreign citizens and stateless persons at three levels: for obtaining a work permit or patent (level 1), a temporary residence permit (level 2), and a residence permit (level 3).
The exam in Russian as a foreign language is held in oral and written forms (with the exception of foreign citizens applying for a work permit or patent), an exam on the history of Russia and the basics of Russian legislation - in writing in the form of testing, including using computer and remote technologies. The maximum exam duration for Level 1 is no more than 80 minutes, for Levels 2 and 3, no more than 90 minutes.
On the website of the Federal Institute for Pedagogical Measurements, in the section "Foreign Citizens", the materials necessary for the examination are published. These include the CMM specification, CMM demos for the three exam levels. The site contains sets of tasks for the exam, formed in versions of KIM, uniform in structure throughout Russia and differentiated by the level of difficulty depending on the purpose of passing the exam.
The government entrusted Rosobrnadzor with the function of state control over compliance with the mandatory requirements for a comprehensive examination for migrants.
