From January 1, 2023, a new type of workbook will be used in Russia. The corresponding decree was signed by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
Employees will be able to use their old work books without restrictions. The same applies to old-style forms and inserts that are kept by employers - they will also be valid.
The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation will determine the procedure for producing new work books. He will also resolve issues related to providing employers with new documents. The Ministry of Labor has corrected the form of the work book, as well as updated instructions for its maintenance and storage. Some of the outdated provisions regulating the methods of filling out forms and accounting of books by the employer have been excluded from them.
Recall that since 2020, employees have been given the right to choose between paper and electronic work books, and since 2021, it has become possible to include records of places of work for the entire length of service in an electronic document.
