The State Duma of Russia adopted on the first reading the law on raising the minimum monthly wages to 9,489 RUR from January 2018.
In the future, the minimum wage will be set at a rate of the federal subsistence minimum for the second quarter of the previous year, the law says. If the subsistence level decreases, the minimum wage will be kept at the same level.
