Russian oil companies have presented proposals to reduce the tax burden on the industry in terms of additional income tax (AIT) in order to make production profitable in some fields.
First of all, we are talking about the creation of two additional groups of fields within the framework of the AIT in addition to the existing five. One area should include areas with initial reserves of less than 65 million tons and a depletion rate of less than 1%, the other - extra-viscous oil fields in Komi. To stimulate development, oilmen are proposing zeroing the mineral extraction tax for these groups for the entire duration of the AIT.
The second block of proposals is related to the strengthening of geological exploration. In particular, it is reported about the system of tax deductions for those who carry out such work. For example, you can reduce MET by the amount spent on exploration.
