21. Anatolij Chubajs Poobeshhal Rossii Bolshuju Gazovuju Turbinu

"In connection with the scandal with the supply of turbines to the Crimea, the European Union has extended sanctions against Russia."

The company Rusnano expects the emergence of a large gas turbine in Russia in mid-2018.

According to Anatoly Chubais, after the tests, the first Russian gas turbine of high power GTE-110M was finalized. "The equipment is being installed and this month it will be installed on the Ivanov CCGT test rig for the final tests. "We seriously expect that in the middle of next year gas turbine will appear in Russia" - Chubais said.

On October 31, the head of Rosnano stated that Russia could face a shortage of capacity in a few years if new technologies are not developed.

Russia currently does not produce gas turbines with a capacity of more than 110 megawatts. This equipment is the main one at thermal power plants, but so far it has been imported.

Large gas turbines have caused a scandal with Siemens equipment in the Crimea. The German company claims that on the peninsula, in violation of contractual obligations, four turbines were moved, delivered in summer 2016 for the project in Taman. It was reported that Siemens is ready to buy out all equipment and cancel the contract. Moscow, meanwhile, insists that the turbines supplied to the peninsula are of Russian origin.
