The Ministry of Finance of Russia made amendments to the procedure for presenting annual financial statements, and also adjusted the rules governing the requirements for chief accountants.
The new version sets out the rule governing the procedure for determining the requirements for chief accountants of credit and non-credit financial institutions. So, in cases established by federal laws, in credit and non-credit financial organizations, credit history bureaus, credit rating agencies, the chief accountant must comply with the requirements established by the laws regulating the activities of such organizations and the regulations of the Bank of Russia adopted in accordance with them.
From January 1, 2022, the specifics of establishing requirements for chief accountants (persons who are entrusted with accounting) will be extended to credit history bureaus and credit rating agencies, and not only to credit and non-credit financial institutions.
The central bank will approve industry accounting standards and accounting charts for credit bureaus and credit rating agencies.
