"According to the President of the Russian Federation, the sphere of migration is "sensitive" for Russians"
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin allowed for the possibility of abolishing the patent system for foreign workers in Russia, noting that this mechanism is currently widely used, but its revision cannot be ruled out.
The head of state emphasized that the issue of migration remains extremely sensitive for citizens, and therefore authorities at all levels are obliged not to turn a blind eye to it, but to systematically and consistently seek solutions, reports RBC.
Vladimir Putin stated that without constant attention to the problem, it is impossible to cope with it. Recently, there have already been changes in this sphere: in the summer, the Russian language exam for migrants was made more difficult by increasing the number of listening tasks and making this section mandatory for successfully passing the test. Earlier, the Government of the Russian Federation submitted to parliament an initiative under which foreigners receiving work permits within quotas no longer need to take exams in Russian language, history, and legislation, and this law has already been approved by the Federation Council.
